Going to California!

I'm going to tell you a secret. For the first time in my life i will go on a big journey. That's not exactly true says mummy. Why? Of course ... last year we went to Calabria. This is in the south of Italy. Maybe i will show you a photo - me, sitting on the beach, talking to some californian ducks (they were a little bit afraid of me) - although i thought the ducks there a tough guys and girls - you know - mafia ducks. Quack - mummy told me not to say so, she says i have prejudices.

But now most important of all: we are going to California! Unbelieveable, isnt't it? I, Mummy and the man who lives with us. Flying for almost 12 hours from Munich airport - going direct to San Francisco. I'm so excited. And we will visit raw food restaurants there! Yipiee! Mummy searched for them in the internet. We will take photos and show you all of them. I think it will be about 4987 photos. I hope you have time around christmas so you can watch all of them.

Figs filled with walnuts

Mummy came home very late. From work. So i did prepare our meal. Last weekend we did a long walk and picked up walnuts. This is not so easy in Austria. We do have a lot of trees here. But the good trees with fruits are almost always in the garden of people who don't want to share.
So we had to go, and go, and go ... and soki became very tired. But finally we arrived at this big walnut tree. And i picked up three of the walnuts (they are heavy!) and took them home. So lucky i had them today. So i cut up three figs and filled them with walnuts. Looks good, tastes good. I ate two by myself and left one for mummy. She was so grateful.

Our dinner on our first foodblog-day

Now i am really tired. This was hard work. Doing the first steps for the blog. Always looking if mummy is doing everything right. She does the typing for me. And i tell her what to write. You know my wings - they are too short to do effecient writing.

But look what we had for dinner. Makis! Raw makis. I do like nori sheets! But of course unroasted. They were filled with a cream of sunflower sprouts. And sprouts from peas. And with asparagus. And of course with cilantro. I really love cilantro. And just a little bit of raw meat .... quak, quak, quak .... (is it quack in English or what, can you tell me?) .... just joking ... i'm a vegan raw foodie. It's beetroot, mixed with wasabi. I could lay in it. Mummy says i have to go to bed now. I hope to be with you soon! Good night.

She did it! Mummy is the best.

Hello again. I hope you are not confused ... now the photo is first ... but you are not allowed to look at it - you have to read the second post first, ah no - wait a moment - the first post first - yes that's it ... but i am sure you are clever! Just checking if it is a really good photo. Mhm ... what do you think?

Sokrates

Please allow me to introduce myself

Hi! My name is Sokrates. My mummy and the man who lives with her (i don't know if he is my daddy because he is a little bit strange) call me Soki. But that sounds only nice. I like it if it sounds cool. You can call me Socks. I'm not sure what this means in English. I hope it's not about stockings or something like that.

But most important of all - i am a raw foodie. And i live in Austria. Therefore it is special to be a raw foodie. Because Austria is the land of dumplings, roast pork and Wiener Schnitzel. The other Austrians don't look that good than i do. Except mummy of course. Because she is a raw foodie too. Mummy and i are going to let you know what we had for dinner, or for breakfast, or just zwischendurch - that means in between. Because i am always hungry. Mummy says this is because i am growing. One day i will be a big duck. Yes i will be.

Now mummy is going to upload my photo. So you can see how cute i am. Oh no - mummy can't do it. She says the computer says: server not found. But i'm not sure if she is doing it right. Oh my god - i'm sure you are so curious to see me .... We will try it ... i think i'm going to help her. Don't panic ... we will see us!
